Jacob attended Westminster College and the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law and began his legal career in commercial litigation working on behalf of large corporate clients. Jacob quickly realized a desire to help individuals and transitioned his practice to domestic litigation to help people experiencing what is one of the most turbulent periods of their lives. Jacob still takes on some commercial and civil matters, but is selective in those cases he chooses.
Experience
Jacob understands that divorce is both an emotional and financial crisis and is sensitive to the needs of his clients. He understands that not every case is the same and that the strategy for each case must be tailored to meet the goals of the client. In order to meet these goals, Jacob listens to his clients, provides adept legal strategy, and zealously advocates for their desired outcome. Jacob understands that litigation isn’t always in the best interest of the client and always looks for a pragmatic approach in resolving the case.
Jacob believes that good representation means accessibility, honesty, and integrity. Jacob makes himself available to his client’s during almost all hours, avoids untenable positions, and does what he says he will do.
Family
An Alabama native, Jacob came to Utah in 2011 for a trip and never got on the return flight home. He prides himself on his decade in Utah and can now confidently say the state has gotten too big. When Jacob isn’t working you can probably find him on the Green river with his dog, Trout.
